The geography of Italy includes the description of all the physical-geographical elements (plains, seas, hills, lakes and rivers) of Italy.

Geographically Italy consists of three parts: a continental one, outlined to the north by the Alps and to the south by the conventional line connecting La Spezia with Rimini; a peninsular, extending in the Mediterranean in a north-west-southeast direction; an island, which includes the two major islands of the Mediterranean, Sardinia and Sicily where, at the island of Pantelleria, there is the minimum distance from Africa, about 65 kilometers.
